Hey there! My name is Rebecca Reynolds and I am a 34 year old Storyboard Artist, Background Artist, Illustrator and Comic Artist currently based in Dublin, Ireland.

I am currently employed with Studio Meala (2020-present) as a storyboard artist and supervisor, as well as a background artist. During my time with Studio Meala I have worked on an array of properties, including an animated series still currently under NDA, various pilots, a music video for The Living Tombstone, an animated short for RTE Junior, and an animated opening for the game Murder By Numbers on the Nintendo Switch.

In recent years I have also worked as a background artist for Spindle Horse Toons (2020-2021) on their popular Youtube series Helluva Boss, as well as for Boulder Media (2020), also as a background artist, on the My Little Pony spinoff series, Pony Life.

Before this, I worked as a storyboard revisionist and occasionally as a storyboard artist, again at Boulder Media (2018-2019), on the Hasbro show Micronauts. Prior to this position, I also worked as a background artist for over four years at Boulder Media (2011-2016), during which I provided backgrounds and props for numerous series and short films (Randy Cunningham: Ninth Grade Ninja, Fresh Cut Grass, Danger Mouse).

I received my first experience in storyboarding as a storyboard revisionist at Brown Bag Films (2017-2018) where I worked on numerous 3D preschool shows such as The Stinky and Dirty Show, Butterbean’s Cafe, and Doc McStuffins. I also have experience as a 2D designer from my time at Salty Dog Pictures (2017) where I provided prop, character and general 2D design and backgrounds for shows such as I’m A Fish and Hot Streets, as well a numerous pitches for Kidscreen.

Having fulfilled various roles in the animation industry for over 10 years now, I have extensive knowledge and experience of the industry as a whole. As a storyboard artist I am very well versed in Toonboom Storyboard Pro as an industry standard. I also have 10+ years of experience in Adobe's Creative Suite, specialising in Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Animate CC.

I am also experienced in digital comic making, having completed many personal and published projects appearing in numerous anthologies. In my spare time I greatly enjoy illustration and merch design.

I possess a BA in Animation from IADT's National Film School, which I graduated from with first class honours in 2011. I also recently received a diploma in graphic design and desktop publishing in 2020 from the International Academy of Computer Training, specialising in the Adobe Suite, for which I received a Distinction as my final grade.
